May tourneys were shortened or cancelled this weekend, but the girls played on in Marion. For starters, Marion was blessed to have been spared from that massive storm that came through Ohio on Saturday, but we teams who played there this weekend owe a tremendous show of appreciation for the RVBFY fields crews. Of course the outfields were wet, and the infields were a little soft. However, the tourney was able to be played.
My hat is off to guys like Mike Craig, NSA State director who have to make these tough decisions when Mother Nature doesn't cooperate with outdoor sports. He did what he needed to do in order to get the tournament in and provide the most amount of games possible for all teams.
Well done Mike & RVBFY crew!
