Looking forward to...

Okay, I saw this posted on another site and it made me smile.

What are you looking forward to this softball season? I will start.

DD is 1st year 14u. There has been a noticeable "maturing" over the last 8 months, so I'm looking forward to seeing what changes that brings. There have already been glimpses over winter ball. She's running with a bit more speed and confidence, she is pitching with a ton more control and ridiculous amounts of confidence. (I think that has something to do with the fact that her coach has complete confidence in her.) She started with a new hitting instructor and has come light years from where she was 2 months ago. She just seems to be maturing into her game and I can't wait to see her blossom.

Oh, and dads... it's okay to be mushy...

My DD (11U) third year TB, first year on a New (BETTER) team - Twice the tourney's (hopefully) twice the fun.

Only kinda-sorta looking forward to getting to watch the game and not coaching - Maybe?

Tho... I am looking forward to getting to just focus on DD. I do love to watch her play.

Excited for my dd to get outside with her new team. First yr 14u, been a great winter indoors, but can't wait till there no stinking nets to stop those deep balls.

Among many other things....
Hot weather, the horrible smell of sunscreen, sweat, and catcher's gear!

The most?
The tired and worn out grin on the drive home (usually in her sleep) when my DD KNOWS she played her 100% and left it all on the field.:)

Just watching her play... She's pretty amazing in my eyes and I just simply love to watch her play. I have learned a lot the last couple of years and now that she is at 14U I'm just going to sit and soak it all in and appreciate it everyday she's out there. After reading posts of parents who no longer get to enjoy it because their DD's are graduated or in colleges too far away I just want to enjoy every second of it! Lots of pics and videos to take this year!

I just love to watch both my dd's do what they love - to play ball. What I am NOT looking forward too is trying to be in two places at one time. LOL

This is my daughters first year (12U) TB. Can't wait to watch her play. Can't wait to see her team play outdoors. DD and her team have worked really hard this winter. Will be cool to see it translate to the field. Looking forward to the good, the bad and yes...even the crazy!

I am looking forward to a year of dd being able to play without 2 rods and 3 screws in her leg...... Woo Hoo. She exceeded all doctors expextations last year. They said she would not play. She worked hard in physical therapy and did not miss 1 summer tournament. I am so proud of her dedication. This goes into the other thread of who does she play for. She played for herself and her team. She did not want to let them down or herself.

16U DD is totally taking advantage of the results of HS try-outs to improve herself from the core. Never one to stay down, the mental piece is already clicking into gear, she has added to the regularly scheduled weekly pitching lesson twice weekly fitness/conditioning sessions and is using an app for tracking calorie intake and fitness activity . She and dad hit the gym for weights and it won't be long until they are outside working hitting.
June isn't so very far away and I can't wait to see how all this intensive focus translates to game time.
