Weird year for us. Joined a team last fall that we really liked. Come spring both 1 & 2 pitchers are hurt. With a pick up we play in June but due to weather we did not play one bracket game. Come July no 1 pitcher leaves for a great opportunity, it was right move. No 2 pitcher comes back limited. We finish the year strong only to have the team change course, going local and half the team leaves including us. So now we try to work that try out thing having never done it. If we get the first and only try out scheduled all is great. If not we do the balancing act of getting invitations from high on the list with-out accepting a lower one not knowing if a higher one will invite. If that makes sense. lol

Ours was weird also. DD played for a new HS this year and we were very excited. She strained her MCL and was out 2 weeks. Came back strong and won 3 games in 1 week. Next week she broke her foot at practice. Was out the rest of HS ball and missed 4 tournaments for summer. Came back 2 tournaments did great, last tournament partially dislocated knee cap from being unstable from the broken foot. Very frustrating. Team didn't do well, which we were hoping for more. Girls were great though. I think she's done with travel, or so she says. She wants to coach a rec team next summer with one of her HS teammates. They will have graduated and they're both good. I have no doubts they could do it.
