The up and coming pitcher 643dp is Hayli Erdman, Temple should IMO be moving to SS.

Riles you pose an interesting question, all three TCL pitchers are good. Gramling being the most athletic of the three. All can hit, Schultz probably is the most intense, and Holmes is an big game pitcher. All three match up with the NLL's best pitchers. All the TCL pitchers are seniors, I know Holmes and Schultz have been on Varsity since atleast their Soph. Years, and Gramling since her Freshman year. So all three are vets. Your in good shape with any of the kids you named.

SUA last year lost to B.G. that player that quit the team pitched that game.

I know of the 2 your mentioning but did you know that Schultz is also from the Whitmer area, just never went to public school.

I think that Temple may be the most underrated player in Ohio... she has the ability to be one of the best in Ohio... with her speed and power and if she gets the right guidance, she will be very special.... oh heck, she already is special.

I think that the top pitchers in the NLL and TCL will always be comparable (with special thanks to the Catholic schools).... the difference is usually the depth of the talent that is on the team. After SUA, NDA, Clay and Whitmer, the talent level will drop off. I don't know if there is anything coming up at Start since Orban went on to Findlay University. Waite will be competitive but not at the top echelon. Bowsher is questionable but may be knocking on the door of the top 4. Coach Wagner is working hard with the group and may pull out surprise wins over any one of the top 4.
With the coaching at Perrysburg, Springfield, AW and Southview, they all have a chance to win it all..... by the way, the pitching at all 4 of those schools will probably have an impact on the success.... ;)
As usual, it will be a fun Spring. I won't miss too many of the games involving the top teams.

F2H,

I agree Temple is very good, but somebody like a Malloy is going to have to protect Temple at the plate, or just like Gorsuch the past few years she isnt going to get much to hit.

I am curious, as to why you think Bowsher is going to be in the top 4? I had thought that the most underrated player in the TCL Wisbon had graduated? I might be wrong though lol. Any additional Info on Bowsher would be appreciated.

Start has a very good Soph pitcher who pitched some Varsity last year Kat Conway ready to take over, they also had a solid JV team and good Frosh team with about 16 kids on the freshman team. I actually think Start is an up and coming program.

Just as I said Uber.... Coach Wagner works her girl... she gives plenty of instructions.....she has some potential with pitching that will keep them in the game. I don't think that they will be in the top 4, just knocking at it.
Conway is a decent pitcher but not sure if she will be able to carry them. I don't think that they have enough experience on their varsity to put them in the top 4. I honestly hope that I am wrong.

I agree maybe not this year for Start, but I think the next year they are going to be good. They had a hell of a senior class.

I know Wags is a good coach for sure, just wasnt sure what they had coming back.

Don't worry what she has coming back since they were not that successful last year. She will have had another year working with the exisiting girls that should help them out. They have a young pitcher that throws hard... if her arm stays sound, she could surprise some teams.

Uber---thanks for the "Start-love" ?:D

You are absolutely correct ~ this probably won't be the year for Start----I believe all but 3 players on their varsity team were seniors, and that would be a grave blow to any organization. ?:'(

But, after seeing some of their jv players on the summer league team, I am very hopeful.

I thought they acquitted themselves very well, and will not need anyone to "carry" them this spring. ?;)

As we all know---this game is all about fresh starts, optimism and surprises. ?I don't think any of the city teams will have anything to be ashamed of this spring. ?
