I know if you just play an A Nationals Qualifier you have always been able to got to a regional as long as you did not qualify for the A National. Just call your director and he puts you in.

If your state offers a regional qualifier then you no longer get a regional berth for just playing in a USA qualifier. I was told Warren will no longer give at-large bids, so you have to win a berth.

I was told the same thing as JCellar17, you have to win a qualifier to get a berth.

I thought I read somewhere that as long as you played in 3 qualifiers (regardless of finish) that your team could attend a Regional. If they changed it and you actually have to earn a berth by winning, Good Job ! Regionals had really lost their luster because of not having to win to be there. JMHO.

I've heard from various other states and teams that it is a state by state thing regardless of code or per commissioner... whether right, wrong, or indifferent. I know that some states allow you in if you've been to their ASA States and 1 or 2 ASA regionals even if never even placed.

Only on Facebook.

Eligibility requirements are by local association. Teams registered with Dayton and Cincy Metros should check with their commissioner.

They lost their luster 4 years ago when ASA did the large increase in association berths to ASA/USA Nats - the extra berths weakened the overall level of competition at both ASA/USA Nats and all the territorial ones.

Register your team in Florida and just sign up. No qualification process in many, many states!!

My team actually qualified for the Eastern National by winning the Rec-League world series in Zanesville, yet I never get a response as to what my next step should be. Not sure if we should be receiving an actual invitation or just contact the tournament director of the Eastern National. Anyone with similar issues or know what I should do next please let me know.
Thanks

Contact your commissioner to be sure. Not all TD's do the same thing or communicate the same thing or way.
