Question about IFA payouts.

UrbanaFan I have said on many occasions that it is nice what OQM is doing. Even in the past few posts I agreed with some stuff that he is doing. He is the one who brought up the all expenses paid trip for a 14U team to go down to KY and compete in a tournament. Wouldn't you think that many 14U teams in Ohio would have been interested in such a cherry deal? I think so. Having said that I think that he should maybe explain how he choose the 14U team. Afterall I would assume that he is spending IFA funds to do this and those funds come from all of us who pay to attend IFA tournaments. My bet is that many 14U teams would have liked to had the same oppertuntiy. OQM speaks often about giving back to the girls, is that all girls or just some girls on certain teams? It is a fair question IMHO.

You are really starting to split hairs. No one outside of the people running a tournament have any say so on where the money goes. They can charge what they want and, they can do with the money whatever they see fit. I've attended a ton of tournaments in the five years that my dd has been playing travel ball and never once did the tournament director ever ask me if I approved of the way that they spent the money that they brought in. You really should re/la/x.
