Re: Just an Honest Opinion!
Well, that is your opinion Mom and that you are allowed to have indeed. I bristle.. you say. I have been taking heat for trying to give this game back to the girls . The to have ED, the whiinner of all whinner, come on here and attack me in threads ( and not just this one) for doing good for the girls.
How do you feel it's right to be the judge of me and what I do for the girls. I don't see any other association on here answering question. I don't see any other associations on here for any reason. Did we see NSA on here when their tournaments were so terrible in 2007 or 2008.
It's my money to do what I please with it. I have a full time job. I have personal money. Hell, I was bitten by a tick that almost killed me and about lost my home for the 21 months it took me to recover to gain my strength back.
You, being from the PA area have been begging someone to come to Western PA to give NSA some competition. ASA has not come... they stay in the middle of the state. When I look for diamonds there... and people from the OFC have been helpful... because they want change in Western PA. But securing sites has been hard or so overpriced that it would be worth it as I don't have a list of teams to call in PA at my disposal. This is why you need a state director with knowledge and I am searching for them and have talked to a couple in the York area about coming over. But, until then... I can rent out facilities and wonder about the show up amount. But, I do continue to look and I think there is an undertow in that Western PA area with NSA wanting no one else in there. Look at all te people on the OFC that complained that the website in that area's owner has deleted posts that was critical of NSA events.
I do this. "I" is the word I use for "I" do this.
For someone to come on here and say they are more apt to go to tournaments ran by organization trying to make money for their organization... that is fine. But IFA events do the same thing. Have you ever heard of any state organization willing to give away their State events to organizations to help them raise money for their girls. NEVER. Not one. That state tournament is ran for the money in their pocket plain and simple.
They live on that money and the difference is... I don't. I give back and do my damnest to do so. Whether it's going to community businesses asking for rates for the parents to save them money in attending IFA events or better prizes ( and believe me I haven't seen better prizes anywhere near what we give away..... and I substize my TD's with moneies I could put in my pocket if I wished from bids on National events.
Being you don't seem to understand the NAFA or IFA deal... then learn about it. Learn that 3/4 of the Vice Presidents came over and started up IFA. So the sme thoughts by those ladies and gentleman that was with NAFA... still have those same thought going into this adventure with IFA.
We are new... we know that. But, what saddens me is how National events are watered down based on money. MONEY. So sad to even call it a National events. Regional Nationals are not National events. It's just one big tournament with anybody wanting to come can come with all the berths they give out and most are givenout free so a team can attend.
Let's look at classifications. Can anyone tell me what the difference between ASA "A" and ASA "B" is ? Last I saw, "B" is for rec teams and teams that do not have tryouts.
