ROCKLIN, Calif. — The SDC softball team traveled to Rocklin to face off against William Jessup to complete the DH from last month's rainout.

While the sun was shining, the Hawks' bats were quiet for Game 1 and came alive in Game 2 but were swept by the Warriors on Tuesday. WJU won 12-0 and 10-8 respectively.

The losses drop the Hawks to 10-30 on the year while the Warriors improved to 27-14.

Game 1 was called in five innings as the Hawks were only able to scrape two hits in the game. Tori Harris broke up the no-hit bid in the fourth with an infield single. Joselle Nicolas tallied a single down the right-field line in the fifth for the second hit but the Hawks later were retired to end the game.

SDC showed more life in the second game as they scored in the top of the first for the game's first run. Jordan Neal's single to right score Harris. But William Jessup answered in the bottom half of the inning with five runs to take a 5-1 lead after one.

The Hawks were able to answer in the fourth with five runs to regain the 1-run lead. Maritza Martinez drew a bases-loaded walk scoring Bailey Romano. Samantha Campos then singled home Desiree Alvarez and Martinez for the second and third runs of the inning. Harris was able to singled to left that brought two more runs in for the 6-5 lead.

WJU answered, again, this time spreading out the runs. The Warriors added three in the fifth and two in the sixth for a 10-6 advantage.

SDC wasn't quite done yet. Alvarez tallied an RBI single to center to score Romano and Martinez singled to score Neal but weren't able to get more as the Hawks dropped the final road game of the season.

The Hawks will end their season at home this Saturday against Arizona Christian. Game times are at 5 and 7 p.m. with the senior day ceremony taking place in between Games 1 and 2.
