It looks like you forgot what screen name you were using and answered yourself. Why?

Tomaszewski Soft. from Lexington. Team is 7-0 Divn 2. She is 6-0 with over 60K's and gave up only 6 runs in those 6 games. She also went against Kelly from Wooster winning 6-0. Three shut outs. Her team gave up 4 runs in the first game due to errors. After that only two earned runs . I think less than 7 BB.

Just Asking,....I was thinking there was talk about a very good freshmen in the Akron area. I'm sure someone here knows her name, I think she played for the Saphires last Summer. How is she doing so far?

I think you are refering to Mindy Merideth(Hudson)???? I think that is her name....

Not sure she is the best in the state but very worthy to be mentioned along with Corey Rubright (Walsh), Lauren McNeil (Hoban), Amber Myers (C. Falls) and Kasie Kelly (Wooster).

The best and just my opinion......
1. Jessica Simpson (Hoover)
2. Melissa Bott (Dover)
3. Bre Willis & Sammy Glick (Fairless)
4. Jess Carmichael & Andrea Arney (Dalton)

Most of my picks are NE Ohio because they are who I see.

Is this the best HS or best travel pitchers? I feel there is a huge difference between the two. I have seen very good HS pitchers be very avg travel pitchers

I agree with Thunder when it comes to NWO. Gill, Zipcka, Schultz are probably the strongest. I would add Everit (Rossford) to the list. I would also like to mention the younger girls who could by the end of the year make a difference for their teams. Bryson - Perrysburg, Stiriz - Waseon, and Michalak - Springfield. Although they are only freshmen, they have been pitching for a number of years and are very good. Bryson/Michalak battle will be a good one for the next four years. IMHO

You're on target Heat, I just thought I'd leave the young guns out until they got established.

Best in NWO:

Dauterman- Elmwood
Sypka- Genoa

I have seen just about all of the NWO pitchers mentioned in this post. These two stick out to me.

However I have not yet seen, but that is soon to come.
Everritt or Gill

I do agree with some of the pitchers mentioned but some of these pitcher pitch in div 3 I sometimes wonder how they would do in div 1, and this is not saying in any way that these are not quality pitcher.
but I do not believe that you would see half a many k's in a bigger div.

Zada Lines, Sr., Revere HS, Bowling Green recruit, is one of the better pitchers that I have seen at the high school level. Throws hard with a lot of movement on her pitches. Plain Dealer said she averaged around 2 k's per inning in 2006.

You know, there are a lot of teams in Div. III that don't have a much talent. However, there have been pitchers who have moved from a DIII school one year to a DI school the next year to take over the starting pitching position and even help their team to conference championships. The difference is that sometimes a good DIII pitcher has to carry the rest of the team as the players might not be as dedicated as the pitcher is to the game.
