You left out 8U and 6U. And why stop there? There's some up and coming 4 year-olds.

(shakin my head)

I am pretty impressed anyone could name pitchers at all those age groups.

I could usually do the age group my wife was coaching but that would be about it. And I am overly focused on softball. I can not imagine what it would take to know 10U, 12U, and 14U at this point.

I think its a joke. The website reference is a Radom name generator.

Yes, the names that are circa 1950 tipped me off. Only names missing were Mildred and Florence.

Millicent Von Straussenburgerstein is hands down the best 8U pitcher in Central Ohio.

I would have to vote my daughter in here somewhere at 18u, Kaitlyn Moore. 2 time player of the year, all honors, 1st team all state, league, metro and whatever else there is along with hitting. Most homeruns at her school in 1 year and needs 6 to break 4 year record. I am not saying she is the best by any means because we know she is not but she is pretty darn good.

16U Madi McCrady : Pitches for Outlaws Premier, and Walsh for hr HS team.
And yes Static 97.... your DD deserves to have her name on the list with those numbers and awards.

10U The Phenom; Stacy "The Best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be" Hart. By the way she plays for The Elite Gold Platinum Easton Nike Louisville Slugger Premier Wal Mart 10U Team!

Hard for me to resist...I have actually had to ask my 9u DD to slow her pitches down, it upsets the softball moms when their daughters can't see the ball...plus pitching 60+ from 35ft just isn't right....

...but I would guess for the 16u/18u, wouldn't the top 4 pitchers in the state championship quarterfinals be on that list? jmho

That's a good thought...or wouldn't the best pitchers be listed on the OHSAA state records for strikeouts in a season?

So in looking at the top single season strikeout leaders of all time, Cheyenne Eggins and Kiley Sosby made the list in 2015. So, those are my picks, based solely on strikeouts in a HS season.

Kind of fond of those two on the list :)

Centerville_FP I do agree that you would think the top 4 teams at state would have their pitchers on the list but I also think you have to have a solid team to get there that can back their pitchers up when needed. Pitchers most definitly help but I would rather see fewer strikeouts and good defense as a fan. As a coach you need both but all strikeouts are great.

I definitely agree!

I love to see the lead-off batter get a hit right away, takes the pressure off the pitcher.

Watching a perfect game is no fun, almost boring and nerve wrecking! Obviously, worse would be watching a perfect game for 5 innings and one out, then have the perfect game robbed, on a close 3-2 pitch count. That would be bad, causing a parent not the actual pitcher, to cry for days after.
