"half speed break-your-wrist-at-the-bellybutton ****" :lmao: LOL! I love that description! My 18 yr. old son can imitate that, and it's absolutely hilarious!

:

My DD is SOOOO guilty of this and it drives me crazy! I keep telling her that she is just practicing terrible form. Sometimes it sinks in but sometimes it doesn't. I think it is a contageous disease because as soon as one does it they all seem to want to do it.

Fun post! I have to agree about the back slapping.... and the 8AM games. I've seen both too often for my taste!

Squeezing my pitchers like they were a orange. Blue thats why she paid for instruction for all those years to have that much movement. Not to throw it down the heart of the plate to make your calls easier.

Tim

Tim, your defending pitchers???? :D :lmao:

That's what I thought! I was so  that I couldn't think of a proper response!!.. :lmao: I do agree with what he said, though.

Along the same vein, it drives me nuts when anyone, parents in particular, yell at a pitcher "Just throw strikes!!" A pitcher's job is to get the batter to swing at balls that aren't necessarily hittable. To keep that ball as far from the strike zone as possible while getting the results they need.

I hate when the other coach calls umpire by first name and then suddenly your pitchers strike zone seems to get smaller.

Calling it select softball rather than travel softball - like you can compare it to sokker.

Not picking on you bucketsitter - same as U14 rather than 14U - drives me up a wall.

How about that butt kissing parent that will do or say "Anything" to stay on a coach's good side...And we know why they do it!

Getting all my information on Saturdays from my lovely wife thru texts. I have to work till 3 on Saturday's and usually miss most of the games. A bigger pet peeve is texting my wife things like "What's going on now?" or "Well?" or "Ahem?"

What if it's Satchel Paige that said it? ;)

I admit I've promised DH to keep him updated about a game he can't attend, only to have him call me during the game and I say "Hold on, I can't tell you now, DD is up to bat!" ha ha!

Runner on 3rd less than two out and a fly ball is hit to the outfield and instead of returning to the base immediately the runner is down the line toward the plate. This mistake almost always costs a team a run and I still see it way too many times at 18u and in high school ball....At this level you should NEVER see a runner make that mistake.

My wife is horrible at this too. When we have to split up to get to each DDs game it's frustrating. I"m going to have to get her an Iphone so she can stream the game.

We played the Springfield Bandits last Friday and they did it for their parents who were working...
