I am not associated with either team but did have bad interaction with this dad and his dd earlier the same day. A coach from a team that the emeralds had beat the day before was standing behind us watching our game. We heard the coach from the team that lost yell "You've got to be kidding me, you came over here to say that". Of course we all turned around and heard the dad say several things then his dd looked at the coach and said "you ****". The dad was smiling the entire time. No one likes to lose but you definately do not rub salt in the losing teams wounds, especially a day later. I better never hear my dd talk like that to any adult and if I do I definately would not be smiling and proud of her for saying it.

Thanks my dd has accepted responsibilty for her actions .Watching a good team play a great team is allways fun to watch and my right. The actions by Adults as Coach's are covered are covered under a code of conduct, they will be held reponsible for there actions,I will not repond to any other comments on the subject. It has been unfortunate fo everyone involved, and will continue outside this realm.

Are you serious? You obviously havent learned a thing. You are a sad individual. Just look in the mirror. Swap positions with the 2 girls, put your daughter getting hurt and the girl having an adrenaline rush over your injured daughter. Can you not see how bad this is? If not, please remove yourself from softball. You are clueless!!!!!

it's up to the softball community to make sure this individual is removed from softball! Everyone likes to say its not all about winning! Lets see who picks her up. If we allow him to get back in, what are we saying to our kids & others like him. Its just not worth it! Rich Otte

Thats harsh for penalizing a 12 year old for next 6 years. Taking her on and requesting Dad not to be involved from sideline would make more sense then never letting this girl play. I would hope she can turn this around. I'm gonna make sure my DD's practice moving after throw more diligently after taking a throw.

This wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't Jeff's daughter...

You better believe it would be a HUGE deal if it were my daughter. I don't care what kid it is. If any child acts that way over hurting another child, you can be certain there will be outrage. And the parents of that child should be suitably ashamed and remorseful that they raised their child to behave that way.

I personally watched this game. She was NOT trying the harm the player but just trying get to the base and be safe. I don't think she knew Avery was hurt. She did flex over the player. I noticed earlier in the game that the base runner was also the catcher for the organization. I saw Avery slide home and when she was called out she kicked a little causing the base runner #13 big wounds on her leg and the same on her arms. So I think when the base runner was flexing over her she was thinking of the play at home and wanted to get in her face. Softball players are supposed to be very competitive. After Jeff came running out of the dugout screaming that that was bs and that the base runner did it intentionally he went to check on Avery, the base runner stepped away realizing that Avery was hurt she started sobbing and her coach didnt even stand up for her because he was buddies with Jeff.As for Jeff he should of been thrown out. That is slander. For gods sake she Is a 13 year old girl! But what I'm really REALLY upset about is that Avery's mother walked past the #13's mother and the other mothers of the team saying I wish #13's kids were dead. Death threats shouldn't of been made! That was really un-classy. #13's father has sent an apology and has wished them the best. I also have best wishes for Avery. The coach for the Emeralds just stood back and watched #13 sob. Bad coaching. Also reading the posts on here calling her an animal and a pitbull. How un-classy. You realize these people on here defending you just want their daughters to be on your team right? Look at yourselves people!!! You are talking **** about a 13 year old! I BET if you ever met the base runner you would think different. Shes not an animal. Really people? And someone starting a donation? Really? -.- its not like she is dying. You people have no class whatsoever .Keep your head up high #13!!!

Are you for real??? Nice thought out first post.

I haven't got the first clue who Jeff or Avery are but I have been associated with travel ball for 11 years and I have never heard of such unsportsmanlike conduct by a player AND her Dad (and I've seen some pretty weird parental behavior in those 11 years.).

The unsportsmanlike conduct that happened has no place in girls fastpitch. If you want to act like a hoolagan, go play baseball or rugby.

Wishing Avery a speedy recovery. I know the Emeralds coach is stand up guy, and this is not a reflection of his coaching. Ohio Attack.
