Opinion on 8u eligible daughter- 8u or 9u for travel ball??

My daughter is 8. She will not turn 9 until March 2012. She will be playing 10u Fall Ball and 10u Rec Ball next Spring. My dilemma is where to let her tryout her for travel ball...on an 8u or a 9u team? With the 2012 season tryouts fast approaching, I am undecided. I hear different opinions from our friends and coaches, so I thought that I would search an unbiased audience and see what others on OFC think.

I am predicting that the 8u is an up and coming age division. If you have a decent program at 8u, do that... if not, do the 9u or 10u, whatever division that her talent is best suited for...

Thanks Fast2Home...We do have a decent 8u program in place. All of the girls, except a few, will move up to 9u/10u so it will be a rebuilding year for the 8u program. My concern is whether to let her take her chances on a rebuilding 8u team or a newly forming 9u team...ugh, decisions, decisions.
