Sunday, while cool, looks ok, sunny and low 50's... Saturday might be very cold with the rain predicted.. but it is Ohio, a lot can change in the next several days.
So, what are teams going to do about their composite bats? do most girls not even bring them out, use them anyway, or switch to another bat? Is there even a bat made whose warrenty is not voided by low temps?

I saw the post from FGASTORSA about heaters and I am sure it was a joke but I wanted to let you know about something that happened at Howl Fest Sunday. It was very cold Sunday for the 8am game. A team set up a couple portable propane heaters. One player got up to cheer and got to close and her jersey caught on fire. They rolled her in the wet grass and got the flames out but she did end up with 2nd degree burns and it could have been a lot worse. Wear layers but leave the heaters at home!
I wasn't kidding about the heater comment. I had a parent offer to bring one up, so I thought I would ask first. Being a firefighter I hate to hear about anyone getting burnt like that and that is why I asked the question.
I don't think there is any rule about heaters. I'm bringing a round kereosene heater but there is no open flame like a propane heater where a uni can catch fire. The flame is under a globe and there is a protective cage around it. Now I would be a little leary to have one of those propane tank "toppers" that have an open flame right there for everybody to start a fire with.
