Things I Learned at the ASA Magic Tournament

Also in the style of my friend Statsman...

1. Joe Gabrielle (racer62) is the stand in for Brendon Fraiser..

2. You can fall in love with a dugout. (Open sided all around the top half to let the breeze in)
3. I did not get shot in Youngstown (I was not an OSU recruit though)
4. Paying $5 for a refillable Lemon Shake cup doesn't mean squat if you leave the cup in your truck between games.
5. The person manning the "Lemon Shake" stand apparently has heard #4 many times.
6. Before the championship game, the attendant asked my size for the "awards T-Shirt". I told him "Extra Small" and I thought I was going to have to give him CPR.
7. I saw a "ULO" (Unidentifed Long Object) laying along the out of bounds fence in right field. When I asked what it was they said it was a "rain tarp". I fainted. I never thought I would see one in my lifetime. (I'm OK now)
8. I spent an hour explaining to the concession stand that a "Walking Taco" was NOT an illegal immigrant.
9. The NE Ohio area has a negative effect on GPS. "Keep Right... (OK I did) and then "Recalculating". WTH? This happened over and over.
10. Boardman and Poland do not exist in GPS land.
11. The competition in NE Ohio will shame many in central Ohio
12. The Field of Dreams in Boardman is one of the nicest places to play. That is not a joke. I will be back.

If you have never played at these fields, do so before your dd "retires".

This was my first time at these fields and I can honestly say I didnt mind the parking fee because it was so nice. #9 is on the money I thought my GPS was on the fritz.

Johnnies & Warren,

I'm not sure if #1 is a compliment or not. LOL

We have no control over the concession stand, but I will try to get the walking tacos on the menu before you return.

I'll add 1 more to the list:

13. It is possible to get that "end of July" tan in one weekend.

It was great meeting and seeing everyone this weekend.

Now I'm in trouble I thought my wife screwed up the GPS. It just set there thinking! These fields even have tarps, in case of rain!
