1. Never underestimate the fury of a PO'd umpire
2. Wiffleballs really sting when hit off a Rockettech
3. Softball field's aren't always identified by numbers, in fact, they can
actually have names (General Mills, Scotts, Herb's Body Shop)
4. College coaches like shelter houses
5. Popup tents are the greatest things ever invented when it comes to
open dugouts
6. Parent's who carry around popup tents when there are open dugouts are
priceless
7. Your players, coaches, and parents will get the job done when you get
called to the hospital because your 13 yr old son thinks he's an X-game
downhill BMX bike racer (NOT), and brakes is collarbone. Sometimes, you
just have to be a mom first. :)

1) no lead is too big until the mercy rule applies.
2) no team can look too young to kick your backside and make you beyond miserable
3) the 14u field was like a mini national (great to see new teams)
4 ) getting fryed is the sun is nearly equal to being eaten alive in the shade by bugs.
5) don't matter squat who you are , you don't bring the A game you go away with a loss.
6) I agree with num 1 from above .

...

I've had one since Sunday.... I can't get my right eye open and the other stays shut. Made for a looooooooooooooong drive home.

Just because the girls can play softball, doesn't mean their parents have the same talent. i.e. Laser parents vs. Stingrays parents

Try explaining that to a State Trooper.

Me.... "Honestly Officer, try one of my Cherry Freeze!"

Next moment.... (burp)

Him.... "Hands on the top of the truck!"

Me..... "I can't reach it!! Sorry!!!"

Him "If you don't, I will make your birth certificate a worthless document."

Me "OK... I will try..."

Some how I made it home...

I hope things will be better at Sluggerfest.

11) Just because both umpires agree that they saw the same thing doesn"t mean that they saw it correctly. :)

12) I learned that we need to expand our staff to include an EMT, a brain surgeon, a podiatrist, an orthopedist, a psychiatrist, a fortune teller, and a Philanthropist.

I added the last one there just because it could only be a good thing to have one of them around. :)

Leaving bases loaded 4 innings in a row and scoring one run in a game explains the bald spot on the side of my head.

That is true, however that was the coolest thing I have experienced. I will take the blame for the Laser Parents as my whicked "change up" that I was pitching was chewed up and spit out by the Stingray parents that beat us...I don't know, we could have had a ralley coming had we not needed to clear the field for the girls to play on...

13. The Ohio girls can team up well together and show great support for each other (Stingrays and Lasers Purple) while they each played out of state apponants. (another thing I have never seen)

I played a little third base in the stingrays-lasers parents game (just glad i never had to field one) nice to see that the girls and parents can all hang together after beating up on each other every week. Chili bob went yard in his first at bat that was priceless!!!!!
