I wouldn't use the Olympics, softball is no longer and have you heard of curling?Those people (Olympic committee) not the sharpest.

I like curling. But that's a winter sport. But getting back to the question, If your team has to play all three days why not a weekend pass, or a discount on Fridays.

I help a gentleman run indoor tournaments and they do not bring in as much as you think. Actually in our case we only have one field and only will take about 10 teams.
So the income is limited for this man. He does not skimp on the heat and concessions are cheap..Look at the big picture all the time spent, heat, electric, and water not to mention snowplowing and other expenses.
Now this is only speaking for our tournaments can't speak for others and what they do and charge.


These our fund raisers and all our parents pay just like everyone else.

BlackCat, Do you know what it takes to put on a tourney? how about running an indoor facilities? Does it cost any less to operate a facilities on Friday than Sunday? Oh sorry it could be a union shop and they pay double time for Saturday and Sunday in that case Friday should be free!

Not sure where you are going but I'll bite We charged $3 ( NOT $4 $5 or $6)a day $9 if you came all three still cheaper then weekend pass you spoke of.
Didn't know it was a big deal almost everybody charges them these are usually fund raisers and you do not get rich. I help the gentleman that owns the building in exchange for practice time for our teams.
