Did anyone else trip over that big railroad tie thingy that was down the third base line where the pitchers warm up area was ?? I 'bout killed myself on that thing  Twice !!! I remember the weekend that we were there, the whole area had lost power. Our 8:00 AM game didn't start until 6:00 Pm - Man was that a long night with a bunch of 9 & 10 year olds.

LOL! Yes I remember that down there also. Had my dd warm up to pitch down there and that dang thing got her also. I also remember having to go outside (in the freezing cold) from the main building to the side building to warm up.

Due to that power outage our games were 11pm and 12:30am that evening. Then we turned around and played the Ohio Dragons 9am Sunday morning.
We were at the Comfort Inn (next to Der Dutchman restraunt) 3 miles down the road and luckily we didnt loose power. Thank God for that indoor waterpark!!!!

My dd played in the 12U in the same tourney. Played real early so when it was just Tim and I there , helped him prep the field. I watched the 10U play , setting with a bunch of OFC posters.

He actually had a couple of nice fields out front - it's a shame he had to shut down. Other than the fact that Tim and his family were great people, my fondest memory will be beating the 16u Thunder team in the championship game at his own tournament.

Ashland use to rent out his place for fall/winter practices.

What we really miss now is having a local winter local high school league. We were spoiled, now you have to travel to play indoor.

I was blessed enough to be able to attend two tournaments there. Tim did a great job. Those tournaments will be missed.

Gotta....not one of our favorite memories!!! My daughter played on that GFOD Team....That was a good game after a very loooonnnngggg night for us on the diamond. I think we finished our game Saturday night around 2:30 a.m. But you are right a great family and a great game!!!! My daughter is a senior this year, so we are cherishing these memories and beginning some new ones, college ball for her has always been a dream and it's coming true and we now look forward to what lies ahead. I know you have been there yourself, I hope your daughter is doing well.

I miss it too. My DD was on the 10U team when it closed. It was so close, now we drive over an hour to practice. I heard they just put the softball stuff (bats, gloves, etc) by the road for free. The weekend of the power outage was her very first travel ball tournament.
