Scenario: After a bad call by the umps and some bickering back and forth from the losing team and some parents (in their defense, the ump is supposed to walk away from those kinds of confrontations. but that's another thread), my old friend and I suddenly see the TD come over and talk to the coach in question. I'm thinking he probably said something coarse, but after their discussion, TD calls the umpires over for conference.
Suddenly, the losing team is notified that the winning team will have to forfeit because of an illegal substitution (allegedly, it was a girl who had already played on another team!). Now, it's not how I'd like to win, but I question why a coach would risk losing on Sunday with a player who had been illegal, and sitting the bench the entire time?
To make matters worse, a parent argues with their own coach (and TD later), and some parents form the forfeit side are sarcastically saying "good game" to the other side and refusing to shake hands after the game (that was a coach).
Seriously? Win, lose with class.
