We have alot of former college and pro-softball players in my women's league and we use cheap walmart bats. We have many home runs with no problem....it's the hitter, not the bat.

If we play your team next year feel free to have your girls use WalMart bats to prove a point.

Swing mechanics mean nothing....everyone should use what ever bat Bama did and you can be the WCWS champs!

Les and Kavin have awesome teams, and I'll bet most everyone if not everyone on their teams swing expensive, current technology bats during games. Also, check out Candrea's team or all the top college teams...I bet there are no single wall 7046 aluminum bats being used during games. I wonder why that is??? I'll tell you why.....because the bats of today are on steroids compared to wood and single wall 7046 aluminum bats of yesterday. A good hitter can hit with an old-school bat, but they hit the ball a heck of a lot better with today's bats. If that tidbit wasn't true there would not be a market for the expensive bats.

Great bat + Great swing= BOMBS!

Your right a bat will not make you a better hitter, but a great bat will make a great hitter an amazing hitter.

My DD's bats have to be around $200 or less because I ain't paying more then that for a stinking bat so we buy based on color and looks from the list of what was in fashion a year or two back. Best to buy whats being discounted because the newer models are out. lol

IMO, The hottest bat will be in the hands of the girl that has worked on her swing all year, everyday. The work will pay off in the end, no matter what bat she put in her hands. Just my 2 cents

This is like "Ring around the Rosie" LOL. If your DD practice everyday and has a picture perfect swing what will she be more deadly to the defense with a high tech bat or a Wal-mart bat? The answer is simple.

same reason golf has made courses and hole longer and harder. Technology can not be ignore. would Tiger in his prime still beat most golfers with club from Wal-mart? Yes. Would he shoot the same low scores? No.

I want my girls to hit the ball so hard that it is untouchable, weather over the fence or so hard on the ground it will rip your glove off. Only way to achieve that is with Top Technology + Great mechanics. The two combined is amazing I don't see how anyone can dance around or deny that!

Find me a stud pitcher who can hit her spots with her 8 different pitches including a knuckle curve drop chageup and face your $300 bat who did or didn't practice and it will be a similar result. or if we see that you have your Walmart bat my pitcher may get overconfident because she sees your player with s o c c e r shoes and throws a fastball down the middle and gets bombed. Certain Lakers coach see her and gets impressed, she gets a call that night to join the lakers but they turn him down because parents gave their word and doesn't want anybody to think society will come to an end if they didn't keep their word.
I think I will grab a beer or two because I'm spending too much time on here.

I can use an analogy.
straight A honor student #1 takes SAT and gets a 90th percentile score
straight A honor student #2 takes the Princeton Review course for the SAT and scores a 99th percentile.
