I can use an analogy.
straight A honor student #1 takes SAT and gets a 90th percentile score
straight A honor student #2 takes the Princeton Review course for the SAT and scores a 99th percentile.
Applies to some great school where all the other straight A students have taken the Princeton Review course and have scored in the 99th percentile.
Where does that leave student #1? happy to have a great swing with a wallmart bat...
But not in the 99th percentile because she decided her knowledge (swing) was enough.the 90th percentile is great. Hind site 20/20 would she choose to not take the Princeton review course (hi end bat) and lose 9 percent?

I don't know about everyone else. i'm not happy with just good enough, and I have taught that to my DD's. Take every tool you have and mix it with every last drop of your energy and drive and that's how you reach full potential IE. 99th percentile not 90th

I guess I was wrong....all you need is a $300 bat and you will be a hall of fame hitter. :lmao: :lmao: All this time we have been worrying about practice, mechanics, and good instruction...what a waste of time. :lmao: :lmao:

still you dance around the fact that all your practice, mechanics and good instruction plus a $300 will make you a better hitter then without it. NON of these post have said ALL you need is a $300 bat. Take your two best hitters give one a $20 bat and the other a $300 bat. Who will hit the ball further, harder and and with more velocity? You know the answer, we all do ;&

That was what I meant to convey with my post...I agree with you. That's the exact reason why Tiger Woods uses a 440cc composite driver. He has a near perfect swing, practices nonstop, has a swing coach plus he uses a driver that everyone else is using. If he was using a persimmon driver (walmart bat) he just couldn't keep up.

Doing All 4 is the best solution and we all agree that the only 1 you can slack on is the bat. Having said that, when I see a DD at the plate with a wal-wart bat, I think out;&

Funny thing is there isnt a person here that would spend all the time, money and effort in practice lessons and send their DD to the plate with a walmart bat. Great hitter use great bats

Did you play the Static and win or loose based on bats? Even when they went up to 16 and faced your buddies girl they lost.....must have been the bats not the kids swinging it....Good Luck!

Another inane post. My dd has not played Kavin's Static team in 4 or 5 years. I am going to keep the Static out of it because this is not about the Static, it's about the bats and the kids swinging them. Take a look at NCAA baseball since they switched to the BBCOR standard and look at the numbers. Batting Average down over 20 points, HR down about 50%, extra base hits down, ERA's down, shutouts up over 100%, all while strikeouts and fielding percentage remaining constant.

Like I said before, a good hitter will continue to hit no matter what bat is used. However, for many hitters these crazy-hot, forgiving bats are a crutch and the numbers prove it......dumb the bats down and most hitting stats suffer. It's a statistical fact that cannot be denied. So, now that you can be proven wrong statistically, what are you going to do? Make another worthless, inane post. Go ahead, nobody here is backing you up.

I'm not disputing that a good bat can give a great hitter a little more pop, they are great hitters to begin with and it really doesn't matter what they swing. But if you don't put the work in and you have poor mechanics it doesn't matter what bat you use, you are going to struggle at the plate. Simply buying an expensive bat will not make you a great hitter. The player with the lowest batting average on our team was swinging a $300 RT while one of the top hitters was using a $150 bat. I see girls all time who step up to the plate with $300 bats and 50 cent swings and I think that they should have put more money into hitting lessons to learn how to swing before they spend a fortune on a bat. Some parents think all they have to do is buy the hottest bat and the rest will fall into place.....it doesn't work that way.

That's what we all have been saying:yahoo: On another note: $150.00 bat ain't cheap:mad:

I agree 100%. Most $150 bats were org $300 :)

You can pick up a decent bat for $50 if you look hard enough and don't mind older models.. You can get older model Stealths, Xeno's or Freaks for $150.

SO if you pick up an old used CF3 for $50, it is the sams as a $50 new walmart bat? HECK NO! At one time the bat was $300 its just older and used. Take price out of this, and change it to Hi tech composite and cheap aluminum. LOL

you can get a Miken mv3 or Louisvilel Slugger Zephyr NIW for $50. Neither are top of the line CF5, Xeno, Steath's but they are still pretty good bats and better than a $20 walmart bat.

The Bustos hybrid is still MUCH better than a $20 easton hammer. It still has a composite handle and extra pop and flex.

2012 DeMarini Bustos: DXBFP Fastpitch

This is my dd's bat. Even when it first came out it cost the same. And she still managed to be one of the top hitters on the team....and it's what you consider "cheap aluminum".

With a drop 13 I assume its your youngest! What does your older DD swing? Also, you ain't playing fair since your youngest can use a stick and get on:rolleyes:
