We had to find out the hard way about "daddy ball".
five coaches on the team. Five "all stars" that had to see all the playing time while better players sat the bench,
and or were replaced by subs that were the "friends" of the daddy ball kings. And before anyone assumes it, no I am not talking only about my daughter here, there were talented girls that weren't in the daddy ball clique and had tons of bench time too.
next time we know there are a lot more questions to ask b we fore laying out our hard earned money to an organization that ends up being WAY sub par......
before anyone starts playing the my dd is the best game let's set one thing straight.
I do not expect my dd to pay every out of every game. My dd makes her share of mental and/or physicals errors, she's not a can do no wrong player by any means.
but when she is more than capable obviously, and the coaches picked her for her talent to be on this team I DO expect an equitable amount of field time, I DO expect the coaching staff to work with these kids to improve them and I DO DEMAND that my dd puts in practice time on her own, which she does.
when none of these expectations are met by the coaching staff, they have set themselves up to have a parent disappointed in the organization.
and to top that off with no development of these "outside the group" girls and bri ginger in subs to start and play the entire tourney I DO have a major problem with this.
this being said, we are in the process of finding that magical fit during the upcoming tryouts. At least I have the knowledge of more in depth questions that we as parents have to ask.
