I don't believe that is correct.... not 8 starters. You can't believe what you read... Jimmy Hoffa may have posted some lies on here.

Clay's Senior starters lost:

Mollie Berry CF
Dana Romstadt LF
Kristina Rendle 2nd
Alex Shellhammer 1st
Neena Shaheen Catcher
Kristen Gyori RF
Jimmy Hoffa

So they lost their whole outfield, Catcher, Right side of the infield. Still have Holmes, Rice and Wise as starters and Frank Pitcher.

Psssssst that will be easy to replace lol.

Or we could say it this way:

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? AB H R HR RBI SB AVG
Mollie Berry, Clay 77 38 29 0 19 25 .494
Kristina Rendle, Clay 70 31 24 0 19 10 .443
Dana Romstadt, Clay 66 22 21 0 28 3 .333
Neena Shaheen, Clay41 13 9 0 13 0 .317
Alex Shellhammer, Clay 48 15 8 1 7 0 .313

Per the Toledo Blade as of 5/10/07 thats 5 out of the top 24 hitters in the TCL, Gyori and Jimmy Hoffa were not on the list.

She must have gotten all 25 while I was watching, it seemed like she had that in the 8 games I saw her play last year, that kid was something, very good at placing the ball, working the count and just flat out could run. Top flight CF, best I had seen since that kid at Southview 4 or 5 years back, I cant remember her name though, she played for Lanham, maybe Dragbunt knows that kids name.

Ok Tol-City PPL/fans.
I'm now thinking that maybe my 4th pick Should of been Bowsher...? Kim Macke, on the mound she is prob the 4th or even 3rd best pitcher in the city League this year.
Yea, Uber I think she's better then that NDA starter..... ;)
And Hands down better then Any Starter Whitmer puts on the Mound..

The only thing I see Holding me back on Bowsher,
is do they Have hitting and any other travel players on that team. I did see there SS on a Edge 16 u team or 18? don't remember her name but she was fast still needed work on her swing..any one els got any thing on this team or players they saw in travel??

Well Bowsher lost one of the best players in the TCL last year in Wisbon, she was an offensive force, I think they are rebuilding, they do have a good soph pitcher too, so I dont think pitching will be an issue with them, probably scoring runs.

I have changed mine also....

# 1 Seed SUA
# 2 Seed Clay
# 3 Seed NDA
# 4 Seed Waite....Their Junior class is good , Played in 2006 TCL Freshman Championship game losing to Clay, Beating Whitmer and NDA in the process. (All Freshman teams make the TCL touney, not just the top 4) Nice Pitcher, very good coach. I am going Waite and those are my final predictions until I change it again.

#5 place will be CCHS
#6 Bowsher
#7 WHS
#8 Start
#9 Rogers ( seen them in the summer, they have some pitching)
#10 Woodward
#11 Scott
#12 Libbey

Ok now that we have pick over who will do what.. now for the bottom teams what can we do or what can be Done to get these girls in those school districts to Play the game like most the NLL does??????

I think a each district can use FASTpitch leagues base out of there Elementary schools,
like Libby and Bowsher could join there league together and play at that park the Bowsher H.S. plays at or the one by the Zoo.
Start Area play games sat Bowman,
Woodward at Detwiler park
Scott at SCott park dahhh
Rogers hmm this one i would need help for local park?
Need some Organization ( MAgic OR FAST-Wiz) to go to each district and there H.S. AD and set this up and pass out flyer's at all there Elementary schools and start from the 3rd to 4th grade up.. This can be DONE

Ex - Both organizations have tried to start something at those schools you mentioned, but had little or no response. You can lead a horse to water... There is no question that there are a ton of softball people in NWO that would help those kids and coaches if they showed an interest in the game and an interest at working at it to get better, but we haven't seen it yet. We had the full blessing of the TPS Athletic Dept., but like I said, there was little to no interest. There was even an umpire that lives in one of the urban school districts that tried to get some training started for those kids, but he struck out too. I even tried to include the Boys and Girls Clubs and other influential organizations in those communities, but couldn't get a whiff of interest. For those of us that love the game and understand what it can do for young ladies, it's really too bad that they're missing out.

Yeah Ex, you can get Opal Covey to be your running mate.

All the local organizations can do is offer to help. We've done that over and over with no interest. We shouldn't stop trying, but we can't stop what we're doing with the kids that love the game to try to beat the bushes for kids that might want to try playing softball.

On behalf of all OFC posters in Northwest Ohio I nominate you to start a training program for the urban school districts. Any seconds?
